ABOUT NIGHTGOWNS

NightGowns is a drag revue founded by Sasha Velour in 2015. In the last 8 years, it has become one of the most esteemed drag shows in the world, with shows that sell out in minutes, and online audiences in every country.

In its first 5 years, the showcase transferred from a local bar (Bizarre Bushwick) to National Sawdust in Williamsburg to the Connelly Theater Off-Broadway and Terminal 5 in Manhattan. It also toured to Los Angeles (Ace Hotel) and London (Clapham Grand).

In 2020, NightGowns was adapted into a docu-series that was directed by Sophie Muller and The Documentary Group. In 2021, the cast self-produced two original NightGowns films—“NightGowns Forever” (an anthology of past shows) and “NightGowns The Musical” (an original comedy performed Off-Broadway in June, 2021).

In 2023, NightGowns will be returning to its roots! From January-June (and perhaps beyond), Sasha Velour takes over le poisson rouge in New York’s Greenwich Village for 6 exclusive sold-out one-night-only NightGowns shows!
